Manual suggests 1200 give or take 100 rpm for idle. Don't suppose you have any way of seeing where you're sitting though..
No.

I guess you can say that it sputters a bit. But mainly it just feels like it's lost a bit of power. And you can hear a difference...like something is not right. I will try uploading a sound clip for you all to hear.

Just a note: Check the breather tube for the fuel tank, or try to run the bike with the fuel door open a bit, maybe you're causing a vapor lock in the fuel tank?

It sputters while moving. Like low rpms it's dragging *** for some reason. I'm guessing it's bc of the faulty petcock...I don't know what else it could be. Also, there's a tube under my fuel tank that isn't connected to anything. I will try taking a pic of it. I'm uploading the short sound clip right now onto my photobucket account. hopefully it will play right.

edit**
Ok, so it's actually TWO tubes that aren't connected to anything. Will have pics up in the next 20mins.

This vid is so you can hear what's going on with the bike. It starts to stall a bit but I kept rolling on the throttle a bit so it wouldn't die. I didn't have that problem just 10 mins prior to the recording of it.

This second vid is to show you the two hoses that weren't connected to anything. I have no idea what they are for.

I should also add that the other day the bike died on me completely for some reason. I tried starting it for about 25 minutes, as I was miles from home and it would not start at all. I would wait a bit in between attempts and finally the last time I tried, it did start. It has plenty of fuel so I don't know what is going on. I'm at work right now, and I think I may have to try push starting it bc it won't start. It dies instantly. This is so annoying. I probably should have just saved up and bought a newer bike

  • Carb sync ?
  • vacuum hoses off or improperly routed
  • maybe on the sync attachment points. Between carbs and cylinder head.
Maybe these photo's will help you see if your hoses appear to be going to the right place. They're from a 97 F3 non California type.

This photo shows where the sync tubes attach, one for each carburetor near the cylinder head. I permanently attach mine for future use.

Just some thoughts.
