Looks like it fit pretty well. Good work man.

You're up in Houlton huh? Nice to see another Mainer on the forum!

Not bad, the stock ones are neater because the bolts are hiden inside the piece of fairing with the little honda sticker on. But a good job all the same.
My g/f prefers a grab rail also.

I'm to recess the bolts so they don't stick out. It will look much better when it's flush mounted to the handle and I re dip the handle to get rid of that big scrape. The UK one was going to cost me $90 US and then another $35 to ship it. If I found one of the stock ones over here I would have put that on. The UK ones are much cleaner looking when installed.

What did you secure the bolts to? are they bolted on to the frame?

The brackets are set to the rear bolts on the subframe. The bracket comes up through the rear plastic and the handle is then bolted to the bracket. The bracket was made from quarter inch steel plate that Dick Mitchell's Garage made in Houlton from scratch. That guy can fabricate anything. The second pic really shows the plate that was made by Mitchell's.

If some one wants those brackets made up for your CBR F3 for a 1100xx handle let me know and I'll post his number.

Nice to see another Mainer on the site. Just a few more weeks and out comes the ice shacks. Cool riding at night but at least the black flies subsided and those dammed orange moths.
