What weight oil were you using? If the second number was 30,there's your problem.Synthetic oil,automotive or not,won't trigger this problem.
Shell Rotella is good with wet clutches.Mobil 1 is usually so-so with wet clutches.
When "chasing a gremlin",always start with the simple stuff first.
