That seems to be a common issue with these F3's. Well, they got 11 years out of it, so not too bad...

You can get a brand new one for about $110 plus shipping.

 

Remove the rear cover on the fuel pump (one small phillip's head screw) and inspect the small contacts.If they are dirty (and probably are) just drag some light sandpaper (600+ grit) between them to clean them up.Re-assemble and go 'round the block.I'e done this on the side of I-20 and got going again.
