noise from the back end poss chain /sprocket
was riding my bike other day when i noticed a click/clonk noise every now and again from the back end, seems to happen when i pull away from lights not quick either, i recently cleaned chain from all crap on it from previous owner, and sprayed lube on chain after cleaaning, only recently have heard this noise coming from the back end, hard to tell where for deff as riding at the time do you think that its has something to do with over cleaning the chain or something else
Chains stretch, unfortunatly they don't stretch evenly, wot your hearing is the tighter parts of the chain going over the rear sprocket, (especially if you have adjusted the chain. Remember you have to adjust the chain at it's tightest spot, if not then the chain can be very taught in several places). Also check the "Wear Limit" guide on the adjuster, see if your chain may need replacing.
Whoops, nearly forgot, since you have lubed it, the chain probably needs to be adjusted, a slack chain can also exagerate the noise to. The noise won't go away all together, but you can limit it with the right adjustment/lube.

^^ great advice....but I would definatly looking into replaing the chain and sprocket if you haven't already done so....and lube is your friend! I lube my chain at least once a week to make sure that I don't have any problems and to hopefully extend my chains life.
Well, just going to give you my two cents on this "problem". I had a similar symptom occurring on my F2. It always sounded like it was coming from the chain. I just learned to live with the noise until one day I was replacing my brake pads in the rear. There is 2 retainer clip things that go into the rear caliper to hold the pads in place. One of the retainers had snapped and was not doing anything. Turns out the noise when I was pulling away was the clunk of the pads being pulled up into the caliper by the rotor. It never really created a driving or braking problem, just a clunking whenever I pulled away. It took me a while to diagnose it because like I said, it ALWAYS sounded like the left side of the bike making the noise. Try checking that out too? Who knows.. solved my problem. Good luck!!
cheers for that makes alot of sense will check out brake callipers just make sure that it aint that, just never heard it till the other day whe do i find the the adjuster to check if the chain is due for replacing, soz for sounding thick all i did was clean the chain and lube did not adjust it so cant work out how chain would either slacken or tighten from not taking the wheel off.
I went riding one day, hit a bump and had a HORRIBLE sound suddenly appear out of my rear end like a grating scraping omg im gunna die kind of noise, one of the rear wheel bearings took a **** on me, have a friend lift your back tire off the ground, and see if your rear wheel wiggles at all, a little wiggle makes a big problem, but its an easy fix with some patience, the matinence book, and a few tools. also look if the swingarm is wiggling, there's a couple bearings in there.
