Default No fuel pump!?

So I finished up my jet kit job (definitely go with factory) and was putting it all back together and noticed there is no fuel pump on my bike...?... The kid that woodscrewed the fairings to the seat didn't put the fuel pump back on, go figure. So my question is if it runs fine now, will the pump make a difference? After all the work I did it finally starts and idles normal and doesn't cut out at higher rpms. I was pretty shocked actually

The bike will not run at it's best if you don't have the pump. I've gone without a pump to limp home, but I recommend looking around on eBay for a pump. The other thing you'll need is the fuel lines from the tank to the filter, and from the filter to the pump. The PO of your bike sounds like a real piece of work.

I run no pump, just gravity feed. Keep fuel in the tank and it runs fine. (starts to cut out at 140ish, but I don't see those speeds often at all)

I don't think this is related since the problem wasn't there before I jetted the bike, but every time I return to idle the rpms are lower. I'll set it for 1500 and go ride around and when I stop it'l be 500 and almost dying. I noticed a drip out of the radiator cap last night, so I know I'll need to take care of that as well. My mixture screws are all 1 3/4 turns out (as per factorypro's instructions) but the weird thing is 3 of them have the flat spot in almost the same place, one of them is 1 3/4 turns but the flat spot is in a completely different position. Also I bench synced them, could it just be a matter of needing a real sync done?
