Exclamation New exhaust help!!

Recently got pulled and fined by the police for not having a "legal" exhaust. It doesn't have any not for road use or track use only stamps on it but it doesn't have any of the usual safety markings either.

So need a new exhaust and I've seen a few about but I'm not sure if they will attach properly to my bike (95 Honda CBR 600 F.)

I've attached some pictures to show how the exhaust is attached to the rear foot pegs but just generally looking for recommendations for replacement cans or good sites to get them from?

Well point blank: no non-stock exhaust is legal. Don't care what anyone will tell you but it's true. Few, if any are put thru any emissions or noise checks. But there are varying shades of 'legal'.

I suspect the cop pulled you over because you're too fecking loud. All slipons really do is change the sound of the bike, usually making it louder. Then someone went and shortened it, which removes some of the sound dampening of an already louder exhaust. You annoyed him so he wrote you up. If you wanna get back under the radar, you'll either need a stock exhaust or a non-shortened one.

Or be prepared to pay a lot of tickets. Cause chances are you're now in that cops target lock. Quite specifically, he sees you again with that same exhaust he will pull you over. Again and again and again. Because if you leave it like it is he'll see it as snubbing his authority, making it personal

Well I dont fancy more tickets so definatly getting it changed but just need a bit of advice on what to get and where to get it from. I've had a look around ebay (just ti see whats about) and a lot of the cans on there only seem to come with clamps to attach them to the bike - when I look at how mine is currently attached (and on images of standard cbr's) the can is bolted to the rear foot pegs - so not entirely sure how these clamps would work?

But in terms of a stock/standard replacement, what about this one? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-CBR-600R...item3360ff93f5

I know it's from a slightly different model and year? I get the impression from 97 onwards the cbrs were fuel injected rather than carboretor?

I think the 2001 Honda F4i was the 1st 600 w/ FI. The Honda 600 F3 was 95-98 then replaced by the F4 which was 99-00, all these bikes had carbs.

Essentially, the above item on eBay is from a Y reg RR, just curious if it would fit my bike? Exhaust fitting to attach to rear foot pegs looks about right and link pipe looks about the right length too?...

One of the other styles of exhaust I've seen is this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...:X:RTQ:GB:1123

The only thing is, I'm not sure how this would attach to the bike - my current exhaust is bolted to the rear foot pegs where as this seems to come with clamps but not sure that would attach?

Any thoughts?

Doubt the rr exhaust will fit. IIRC, 600rr has undertail exhausts. =

Well the exhaust in the listing (for the Y reg RR) is clearly not an underseat exhaust so I can't see why it wouldn't fit?
