Default New 96 cbr f3 owner

Hey guys im a new owner of a project bike! My bike is a 1996 honda cbr f3. I got it for $300 even. id say it was a pretty good deal! the reason I got it so cheap was because it was involved in a wheelie accident by the previous owner. I guess he was trying to be cool when the bike flew from between his legs. lol The damage isnt too bad its all body damage surprisingly the engine and frame are still in great condition! I had a buddy thats a great bike mechanic fully inspect it for me and it checked out! The main reason I posted this thread in this section is because I have a couple questions since im new to cbr's. So first what years have interchangable parts with my 96 model f3? Can the 95, 97, and the 98's parts be used on my 96? I ask because i know the body style is a bit different on the other year f3's. Any help is appreciated Thanks guys below is a part list of everything I need to replace and some crappy pics but ill get some better ones when I have time.

brake pedal
Front fork (just for insurance)
Front speedo and side mirror support
side mirrors (both)
rear taillight and left rear blinker
rear taillight support
right side handle bar mount with handle bar
new muffler
a whole new fairing kit! (except gas tank cover) Also wondering if I could use other model fairings?

nice buy you might be able to transfer the rear lights from a 98, i have for my 97 picked a aftermarket one of ebay for £39 so should be about $50. think the rear fairings will cost alot though

What kind of budget do you have for the bike ? What are your goals for the project ? Most of the parts from 95-98 are interchangeable. The rear section of the fairings are different on 95 and 96. If you're wanting to have good alignment on the front fairings, I'd look into replacing the front "Fairing Stay". That's the frame piece that holds everything on the front of the bike. If the bikes been in an accident, they get twisted and bent. It's hard to get them back into shape again once that happens. You'll find them on ebay all the time, but unless you know what you're looking at and have really good photo's it's hard to spot a bent one. It's worth the $135 to purchase new. It's called "Stay, Cowl (upper)", item 15 in this image.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. Have fun with it.
