need help turn signals

Default need help turn signals

I have a 1995 cbr 600 f3 im putting a integrated tail light on it but the turn signal lights stay on but when you use the turn signal it works when not being use the turn signal lights stay on and their for my tail light comes on as the turn signal not the tail light can any one help

It sounds like there are some wires plugged into the wrong connections. If you don't have access to a service manual with a wiring diagram you need to get a multimeter and test the various wires coming from the fuse block.

Unplug everything, turn on one of the signals and check with your meter to see which wire has a pulsing +12V. Do the same for the other signal and also the brake light when you press on the lever or pedal.

The tail light should be easy. Check for 12V at one of the wires whenever the key is in the ON position.

If your splicing all the wires yourself don't forget there will be an extra constant hot back there for the tag light.

I just did this install. I literally tried all combinations until I got it right . I also had another pair of LED tail signal lights (mounted to license plate) that snap-connected onto the turn signal wires of the tail lights (this actually helped slow down the blink rate without the use of a LED relay).
