Default Need help please. Bike won't start

I started my bike every day for the past week. Today I rolled it out of the garage to ride it around the neighborhood and nothing. Wouldnt start. Had the choke closed and all. Now all it does is just backfire. I had it running for about half a second but it died. Backfire is all it does now. I will be pulling the plugs later tonite but i was hoping you guys could give me a few brainstorm ideas until then.

Any other symptoms, like dull lights, does it crank the motor at all? Could be just a flat battery. Starting your bike from cold each day & just letting it idle will flatten the battery.
However, it could be the dreaded fried Regulator (lots of that here, so do a search) the backfiring is a symptom.

My vote is weak spark from weak battery. Lot of people are going out and starting their bikes, trying to keep the battery charged during the winter weather while they're not riding them.

But what they're doing is killing their batteries which are already weakened by the cold. And causing further problems throughout the bike from trying to start the bike on a weak battery

It should start with a fresh set of plugs. You may want to pull your battery out and set it on a tender between starts. Just like pacemaker said, idling the bike will drain the battery.
