Default Is my timing correct?

based on the below pictured is my timing correct? im thinking its a little off based on the manual but im not sure if this small variance is correct.

Cant quite tell from the angle of the photos but if its not right its real close. I just swapped shims on the valves and had to do the same. Make sure the #1 cyl is at tdc as well or it could be out of time and open valves into rising pistons.
Get your eye down in line with the seal mating surface at the cylinder head and line the marks up as best you can (i could not get mine to line up exact but real close) You could probably even use a small straight edge to lay on the case and line it up that way. Good luck

Oh yeah after having broken many bolts through the years and having hit or miss luck with all kinds of extractors, heli coils and such. BRAVO on your crazy extraction. I bet your heart sunk when you felt it break.

your right with the angle, i got level with the edge of the case and she looked a lot more like the pictures in the manual

yeah my heart definetally sunk, i thought she was going to the shop for sure, i ran out got the extractors and then was like this is imposible. went to bed, woke up and had it out in 5 minutes, i was jumping for joy.
