I am so confused as there are many RR tail conversions but cannot find many F4i ones...I need to know how the rear seat would stay on.. because the latch for it is a real pain in the **** and I would like to just bolt it down. Don't need a cubby hole...

 

Not sure I can help, i put a yzf-r1 tail on my bike. All custom fab. my opinion is just make a bracket, take some measurements and put something together.

 

i wanted to know what brackets i need to convert to f4i. i want to keep my stock gauges and do i need upper n lower fairing stay??

I'll be starting on this conversion this winter but keep running into a bit of a loss -
What's that plastic called that seems to sit between the rear tail and the gas tank - under the rider's seat, and how is that thing mounted?
