Any tips on what I should start off with never owned a bike like this before total noob

96 Cbr f3 made another thread with pics has no plastics really going to be almost a complete rebuild taking off dirt bars putting clip one back having problems with throttle cable. And has an oil leak in the stator. Trying to decide to leave it naked or get fairimgs but theyre rediculous expensive.

 

How's it run? I'd would worry about how it looks til after all the mechanical stuff is right. Including fresh fluid everywhere, fork oil, crankcase oil, antifreeze/coolant, brake fluid front and rear. Whats the steering bearings feel like? Just scratching the surface.

 

Sounds like a fun project.

 

Iv got my F3 running after it stood since 2014 .But only after putting spark plug leads on in right order .put coil wires back on in right order .booked the brass caps in the spark plug caps .stripped carbs booked them in water and lemon juice then bench synced carbs
