Default Is my bike a US import?

How will I know what market my bike is from?

I thought it was a US import, but now I'm not too sure.

How can i find out for sure?

I would think the VIN sticker on the frame would be different. US bikes read that the safety standards meet federal (or California cuz we're special like that ) requirements. Bikes from the UK should read something different, country specific.

Which side is the steering wheel on

But demon is right, there should be something on the vin tag, or within the vin number to tell you what market it is.

Actually now that I think about it, I think there was a sticker on my chain guard or swingarm that said mine was a Canadian import... maybe you have something similar.

Mines an import. Has a blank where the light switch would be (right hand side switch set). Lights come on with ignition.

Haynes gives all chassis number designations.

Hope this helps?

^ That, plus - does the gauges read in kilometers or MPH?

Aaaah, now you see mine does read in mph but go up in 10 mph increments from 5 - so 5, 15, 25, 35, etc.

Think mine's a total oddball.

The wiring loom is different and does not incorporate a sidelight bulb. The indicators have three wires as opposed to two for daytime running, but I've disconnected mine to work in the UK way. Most car drivers don't see indicators when they're lit up the way they know how, let alone when they're constantly lit!
