Oh yeah, also installed a fuel pump today. Previous owner wasn’t running one. World of difference. Well, to me anyways. Smoother power delivery, better acceleration (honestly picks up quicker,) and just feels better all around. This bike was definitely meant to run with a fuel pump. 😂 that’s a joke. Cause obviously it should be run with a fuel pump. Changing the spark plugs this weekend, and rebuilding the front brake master cylinder. Seems to be leaking a little and dripping on to my fresh dip job 😡😡😡.

Agreed about the fuel pump. There have been many conversations/arguments on here about this. But my stance is the engineers that designed this bike our much smarter than me. If they think a fuel pump was needed, then I am using one.

Exactly. And if you just think about the simple mechanics of the situation, it just makes sense. SURE you can gravity feed the fuel. It works. My bike ran fine without. But it didn’t run GREAT. Fuel has to be flowed into the float bowls because of the orientation of tank to carbs. The carbs are practically parallel with the tank. Anyways, like you’ve said, it’s been discussed on here ad nauseum. I use the search button. 😂 💪

So I had a hiccup occur. I was pulling into work and the bike started sputtering like it wasn’t getting gas. Then it shut off and wouldn’t fire back up. Pulled off the fuel pump because I recently installed one and ran it straight from the tank. Got it to fire up by giving it full throttle and gas started spewing from the exhaust. I was able to limp her home and put in a fresh set of plugs, drained the bowls, reinstalled the pump, and found that the relay plug up front was kind of hanging off the connection. She’s running just fine now. I’m guessing the plugs were just toast. And that electrical connection probs had something to do with it too. The PO put autolites in it. Gross imo. Replaced with NGKs. Pulls harder than ever! 👌

Good deal. A new set of plugs always feels nice.

Default Need some guidance

I just got an 06 cbr600f3 a couple of days ago. I'm looking for a throttle tube and some grips. I've called and searched and found no tube anywhere. Throttle is sticking so I removed the killswitch and cable housing and did what I could to clean it and found that the tube is broken. I'll be slowly getting better parts as time passes but for now safety comes first. Also I took it for a ride earlier and was watching the temp, while idoling it started creeping up to 3/4 on the Guage. I didn't hear the fan turn on. I plan on doing a radiator flush. I read up on the temp standard and didn't get anywhere as far as finding stock temp guages and where they belong visually, so if anyone has any feedback on where the guage should be when idling id appreciate it. Stay safe everyone!

Put some tank pads on her. They’re for an RR, but they work. The shape is kind of annoying, but they feel amazing. Highly recommend getting tank grips for sure.
