F3 can run on a gravity feed. That's why in another thread I suggested a guy quit worrying bout his fuel pump and figure out why his battery was draining while riding (probable stator or r/r problem). Seemed a bigger issue

At this point I don't know if Murdocity has gotten to the point where he can say the pump does or doesn't work. It's been suggested to jump the fuel cut off relay, along with some diags with a multimeter. But not sure if it's been done yet.

Chuckbear also suggested a possible wire short somewhere.

Yea it definitely seems to be something electric. Probably won't really know anything until he grabs a multimeter and a test lead and goes to town.

My money's on the R/R.

chuckbear, I've already replaced the r/r a couple of months ago. You think it might be bad again

hahaha no problem... you got any ideas on a prob or should I just get the meter and check. I ordered the switch contacts and will replace them this weekend, hopefully that solves my problem. I miss riding

Then just bypass the fuel pump. No fuel pump, no worries if that's the problem. And you'll be riding till you get a chance to work on it.

And if its not the fuel pump, you'll know you need to look elsewhere

Kuro or anybody... when i go to jump the fuel cutoff relay, do i 1) cut the black and black/blue wires and connect the jumper cable and 2) Do I reconnect the connection once I connected the jumper cable or do I leave it disconnected. By the way I came home and disconnected the relay and started my bike, it sounded way better and warmed up better. Then I tried to start it with the relay connected and it wasn't the same. Can I ride with the relay disconnected?

You don't cut anything. If you look at the connector, you'll see where the wire enters the connector. Just jam a wire down in there and it'll make the connection.

Can't comment on the bike running better with the relay simply disconnected.
