i lost my key. Can i just put a new ing switch in or does it have to be a certain kind i have a 96 honda cbr 600 f3

 

A new key set which includes the ignition lock, fuel cap, and helmet lock and 2 keysruns about $195. I don't know if you could just use another lock set from another model of bike. Certainly you could from another F3 or possibly a F2. Others you'd just have to try.

 

This is the old track bike, right? If you've got a clean title, and the ig switch that came with the bike, you should be able to get a dealer to cut you a new key with your ownership and some ID. That's worked for me in the past.

With my current bike, I replaced the ignition by getting aused one, with keys, from a wrecker. Cost me $50.

 

if it is just for a track bike, make a rig for a toggle switch. if the fuel cap is the custom keyless kind then it would be great.
