Default Looking for advice on purchasing a 97

I'm new to the bike world but found this bike on craigslist... The guy said the lowest he could go on the bike is $2500 or $2600 with the helmet gloves and jacket.

Also when I went and looked at it the bike started pouring out fuel, it looked like it was trailing from under the tank? A buddy of mine thought the floats could possibly be gummed up?

Just trying to find out if these prices are in the right range?

97 honda cbr f3 awesome bike new parts!!

Thanks for the help!

Steer clear. This price range is for bikes in excellent condition. Those plastics look like aftermarket, the carbs have certainly sat for a while. Why would you need to grease the needle bearings on the rear shock ? All new plastics and they're painted flat black ? Don't walk, but run away.

Agree, with the above comments. 2800 should be a complete turn key for a F3.
400 more would get you a really boffo F4 (in tulsa market, anyway)

And looks to me from his brag list, that the bike went down at more than 20 and he's trying to ebay/rattlecan his way out from under it
