Don't you blokes over there have comprehensive insurance , that covers you here if some one is in the wrong for personal injury ?

 

I have a lawyer and he says any thing i get from a settlement will be takein by pasport (goverment healthcare) so they can recoup some of my bills they payied

 

Like Kuroshio said, get yourself a good lawyer. There is no way you deserve to lose your house if it's not your fault! The kid will have to pay for that and all legal costs, if he has a shred of decency in him he won't fight you.

 

wow, sorry to hear that. The way I was told by my lawyer is even though I don't have medical coverage on my motorcycle insurance, I have very good coverage on my car, and if the other driver's policy doesn't have enough coverage, they will sue my own insurance company and go to my car insurance. And I didn't ask my lawyer this but I am sure you can sue the other driver personally in civil court.

I hope your injury is not permanent and will heal quick to have normal life.
