just got an f3, need some advice
New to the forum, but glad to be on it. Heres the story, got a 96 f3, ran well ( i suppose it ran well, first bike, don't know how good bikes run), dumped it in an accident (bent forks, handle bar bent off, and oil tank was a little scratched) but anyway, i've been trying to bring it back to life as I ride it to school daily. I changed the spark plugs, but i don't know if i had the spacing right. But the problem is that it feels sluggish when accelerating, meaning, when i give it throttle in any gear, it goes then it seem like it laggs, then it goes again. Any idea what is causing this and advice on how to fix it?
Also my tach is jumpy and my speedometer doesn't work. I don't see a speed sensor on the front wheel so im guessing thats the problem? Let me know what you guys think?

well, good to have you here!!! Lemme see if I can help! out of the manual here is what it lists for what you discribed-
--starting enrichment valve open
--clogged air cleaner
--restricted fuel flow
--clogged fule tank vent tube
--faulty ignition control module
--faulty ignition pulse generator
--oil level to hi or low
--faulty pump (fuel or oil)
--incorret plug (wrong heat range)
Try the easiest first, then go from there.
The speed sensor is under the tank on the engine
--check your sub fuses to see if all the fuses are good.
hope this helps! Build and enjoy your F3...

Most the time when bike are jumpy like that there is a fuel problem. I am guessing the bike sat for a little while when it was getting fixed??? I would guess your carbs could use a cleaning.
