Default Just brought my f3 home!

Well, tonite was the big day. I picked up my 97 f3 from the dealer I bought it from. Unfortunately it was raining pretty hard and about forty degrees out. Not ideal conditions to get used to a new bike. lol I took some pics. Appologies for my now crowded garage and the poor light. I had to use flash to take the pictures.

Bike on the left is my 1990 1000f. It was my only bike so last year I had it on the track. f3 will take over that duty.

Micron exhaust came with the bike. Sounds very cool.

Those are some beauties right there! The lighting looks just fine to me, any future plans for F3 mods?

I'm probably going to have to do some suspension work. I'm about 200 pounts and 6'5". I think the original suspension might prove to be too soft for track work. I also think that the bike would work better with newer components. I thinking about calling the nice people at Penske and seeing what they can do for me. Any ideas?

Nice bikes, You will like that F3 on the track way better than that 1000f.

Nice bikes, congratulations on the F3, my first bike was a 97 F3 that was identical to that one, same color and all. I loved that bike.

I also have the exact F3!! Great find and I bet you can't wait for the weather to clear up? The F3 is a wonderful bike, you just need to keep an eye on the RR if it still has the original factory one. You'll be able to tell because it doesn't have any heat sinks on it. When it goes, you just want to make sure that it doesn't take anything else with it.

Courtney, your reply to ekelman's f3 tread about watching for the RR. What is the RR and is that a common problem for the f3. I own a '97 F3 w/21,000 mi and it runs flawlessly though I just happen to have blown a 10 amp fuse last Dec. travelling to the Int'l Cycle Show here in Seattle and the engine heated up to the red before I was forced to stop to avoid engine damage.

Thanks, EdP
