Hey, how do you like that rear 170? Did you ever have the 160 on there, or was it there when you got it?

I've been wanting to go up a size or so but I was afraid of it losing it's manueverability or balance that the F3 has.

They'll take up to a 180, but I dunno... could you take a pic of your rear-end for me? Maybe I could use that to help decide, I'm getting ready to buy the tire any day now - thanks for yer help man!

Also, welcome aboard and nice bike!

Yeah sure, here ya go...

I know, the tire is about dun. A new rear is in the works.

I did have the 160 on there, same tire too. I personally donot think that the difference from a 160-170 was very substantial at all. I BARELY noticed, I luv they way my bike handles. Nowgoing from a 160 to 180might be a bigdifference, idunno. Hope I helped.

Another thing, on the 160, I could get to the very edge of the tire, with the 170 (cant tell in the pic) I cant get but to about 3/8 inche to the edge and thats touching pegs. Has to be the profile. Just thought id add that.

Welcome - that's a nice bike! How do you like the14-tooth front sprocket and 520 chain - acceleration, top end, is there a big difference in how high you rev when rolling on the highway, etc?

Kentucky must be a nice place to ride - not like dodging potholes and taxi cabs here in NYC.

Thanks for the welcome.
I love the 14, and 520 chain. Im not sure what made the biggest difference, the 14t, or the weight savings in the 520 chain. I love it, it accelerates very good, rolling in 1st and go to full throttle will lift the front. Not loop it but maybe 2ft, and the shift to second will lift the front about a foot. On the highway (which I ride interstate about 50miles a day to work) its fine. I think the revs rose about 1200 rpms give or take couple hundred rpms. It is about 5500ish around 70-75 I think. Ill make a note of it exactly next time I ride and post it here for ya.
