Default intermittent starting

im sure this has been on here before, but i couldnt find it searching.

ok, i have a 95 f3, it has been running like brand new, well, all of a sudden im having starting problems.

it ran fine one day, now it wont start. all the lights come on, and dim when i hit the starter button, but nothing else happens. there is no clicking, no nothing.

i let it sit for a day, and it started right up no problems. rode it for a minute or two, then shut it down. 30 minutes later i tried to start it, and it wont do anything again. its got power, battery is good ( brand new, and been on maintainer ) all the lights come on, hit the starter button, lights dim but nothing else happens.

someone help PLEASE!!

It sounds to me like your starter relay is shot. Just check with a multimeter if there is power going to the starter when you press the button or get a auto electrician to check it for you. If you like I can go and check where the relay sits and what whires to test

does it even try to crank over? i mean you know when you have a dead battery and it tries but fails lol it could be your rectifier / stator (sp?)

i know the battery and rectifier are good, i just went for a 30-40 mile ride last night and it all did great. It will push start and run like a champ, just wont turn over when i hit the starter switch.

I'm thinkin starter or starter relay.

Press the starter button and check for power at the starter if you have power it's probably the starter if not it's probably the relay.
