Integrated install tips
Hey im going to install my clear alternatives integrated tail light tommorrow, and jsut wanted to see if any one with experience with these or any itegrated had any tips for me before i go at it... thanks
Are you going with led's? If so, I highly recomend getting a led turn relay from McCoys. they are $20 and work like a charm. No splicing, they replace the stock turn relay (plug and play). Got mine from McCouys in 2 days. Forget those inline load resistors that you have to splice in(one for each signal, total of four). This one relay works for all 4 signals.

I just got mine done yesterday. I did solder and heat shrink mine. Turned out great. It is hard to get a good pic with the lights on, but this is what I have.
P.S. If your not going with led's, forget everything I just spent the last 5 mins typing. GodI hope this guy is going with led's, otherwiseI just sounded like a commercial for McCoys for nothing.
Lights on!

i am going with the LED so rest easy haha... but what is this relay your talking about.... what does it improve? ordoes it jsut make the install easier?
you need this to keep your signals from flashing fast or not at all. it simply replaces the stock relay. the other solution is to use inline load resistors which have to be spliced into each turn signal wire. After you buy four of them you haved equalled the cost of the relay pluse you need splices and then you have to splice them. If you use the relay, you unplug the stock one, and plug in the new one and waa laa. One relay does all four signals. It will save you lots of time that you would have spent tracking down wires and splicing into them. Here is a pic of the relay you need.
