Rear Wheel Install Tips
Yeah, this is a dumb newbie question. Any tips or tricks to getting the rear wheel in place without the spacers falling out and getting the axle thru before the whole thing gets out of whack? I'm using a rear Pit Bull stand. I'm trying to figure out how to use a jack, if I have one that goes low enough. Or maybe some kind of prybar / lever to raise the wheel to axle height. If the PB stand doesn't get in the way.
I've been spoiled by the VFR bolt on wheel. I used to do this on the VF, but it's been a while. Maybe I'm just getting old and weak...
Thanks,
Steve

Two 2X4's. One about 3 feet long and the other 6" long (just to pivot). Using your foot to keep pressure on the board will take enough weight off the wheel to let you use both hands. As to the spacers, put just a dab of grease on them and they'll stick to the wheel until you get it into position.
Thanks, Chain, I think I have the idea. Kinda along the lines of what I was thinking, with a 6' steel prybar I have. 3' wood would be safer! I may need to use something thinner than a 2x4 though. I've just been wondering if the Pit Bull will get in the way of rear access. Part of the problem is the right side doesn't have the dust seal, which means the spacer won't even try to stay in place... :-( I'll get it after I get a better list of the other minor bits and pieces I still need. If I can get the cage back on it's wheels tonight I'll play with some 2x4s and see what I can do.
BTW anyone know where I can get more DZeus fasteners for the race bodywork? McMaster Carr has quantities of much more than I need.
