the other day i was changing my air filter and noticed the in the "stacks" that lead air to the throttle bodies there is a plate that covers about 60% of the opening. is there any reason for those being there and would their be a noticable power if those were removed?

those plates also move up and down but not with the throttle cable like u would think they are vacuum driven and help with idol do not remove them!!! if you do the bike will not run if you want to see what i am talking about by me saying that they move then take the tank off and start the bike and give it a quick twist and release u will see the "plates" move up and then back down. The bike will only run for a minute or so with the tank off so do it pretty quick u will see what i am talking about.
