Idle speed cable problem ?!?! please help

Default Idle speed cable problem ?!?! please help

I have a 1995 honda cbr600 F3 (n reg)


The idle speed cable has come away from the carbs or were ever it goes, i have removed te seat, fuel tank, air box, and i cannot see where it is ment to go... Getting very frustrating now as i dont want to take to a garage for something so simple!

it mounts under the carbs... id say you're gonna have to take the boots off to remount it and fix the problem... but if you are crafty enough, it might be possible to get it back on there with some small hands (aixbox / ram air tubes removed)

I used a metal coat hanger to put mine back in. Twisted the end into a loop fed the cable through it and was able to use that to line it back up to screw in. I then backed the hanger off enough that I could unbend it with some needle nose pliers.

It screws into a plate between the #2 and #3 carbs.

Check out this thread- it has a decent photo of where it goes... (granted its with the carbs off, but you get the idea)
