oh man I just made my inline T for the gauges... came out bloody nice

the sensor is screwed in completely, and the adapter is too....the thing is solid now, and doesn't leak... I will solder it up too just as a precaution.

I also want that sensor more flush with adapter, I might take my grider at the adapter to shorten it by a 1/8"

it's not sealed yet, it will be soldered up to seal it completely. Right now it's screwed in without there being thread I "force" screwed it in and it created the thread.

Ok, so I made up my mind, I'm goign to cut down the adapter 1/2" so it's as flush to the T as possible, and that way the temp sensor will be about half way IN the T

i thought that would be a better reading for me to do that as well.. but its almost spot on temp wise.

It still needs to be cleaned up a little more, even out the solder and maybe I'll paint it black... this was still cheaper than buying one (40usd) and imo is slightly better since those are made from aluminum....

The sensor sticks past the adapter about 1/4" which worked out perfectly, the perfect length.

It's also welded on the inside on the adapter, I am not risking it I checked and it's not leaking

I'm thinking I'll make another one, I saw another T that had 2 bumps on both the left and right side which helps when you clamp it down, the ridges wont be able to get past the lamp... we'll see though, so far I'm im[ressed that it turned out better than I thought it would

Yea, it's not much psi but when it comes to riding or having no cooland 1500 miles away from home, I'll spend 10min and make put some work into it... know what I mean?

You need to get engine paint, go to autozone and buy their engine paint that's high heat, it comes in a chrome/silve paint can.
