Default How to- front fender removal?

Hello all,

Started to remove my front fender (has a crack) and after I removed the front two allen wrench bolts I noticed it was being held on in the back of the fender too. Anyone have a link or vid or anything on how to remove the fender properly? It "looked" like the fender is somehow attached near or with the breaks but again I'm not sure. Just don't want to start unscrewing something and then realize it's way more complicated then it looks.

I found a vid only about putting a new one on but it totally skipped from sliding it in between the forks to drilling the holes for the same two spots I already see how to work with. Said nothing about how it's held on in the back.

I realize its a silly question for those that work on bikes all the time but having owned 3 sport bikes over the years and having had my M licensence for 20 yrs I never once had to do any work at all on any of my bikes so I just plum don't know how to do it and I ain't gonna sugar coat it and pretend I do. Lol.

Thanks in advance.

The fender is held in back by 2 bolts, you can just unscrew those, it doesn't hold the brakes, it holds the cables in closer together and I believe has reflectors...

once you remove the 2 bolts, just move the fender up.

The fender can be a tight fight and that is probably what you feel is holding it there.

Sounds like me! I took mine down to bare frame, sandblasted it, re-painted it and rebuilt everything on the way back up! Amazing that you did what I did and we're the same age lol

**Sorry for the thread-jack**

Thanks to everyone! I'm replying to this via my iphone so I'll just thank all of you at once. I'll take the fender off this weekend and if possible post some pics to help someone else in the future. Thanks again from your CBR brother from another mother. Lol
