I just got my bike running great about 2 months ago thanks to this forum but now I have a new problem. I am such a newbie to riding but my bike exhaust was extremely loud and I kept ribbing it up (showing off) and my bike just shut off. I think i ran it in the red a few times didnt really pay attention.So I tried to roll start it which worked but I started hear enginenoise bad and I shut it off and had it towed. The local mechanic said it might be the rod bearing but I wanted to make sure.

Where do I find rod bearings for my motor because my motor sounded great before I was being stupid and I dont want to replace the whole motor!

 

If anything, when you guys state "motor bearings," I think the bearings that you guys are referring to is the rod bearings or main cap bearings (which hold your crankshaft). *Keep in mind I'm going based on my knowledge of cars like Honda, which hopefully is the same.* Did you hear a bad knocking? And before it shut off, did it sound like something broke?
