Default High mileage and going strong!

Well, after selling my 929 and my wife`s `98 CBR600 Smokin` Joes last year, we needed a fix! We just picked up a 1997 600F3 with 78,000km on it! Engine never been apart (new cam chain adjuster only), new tires, brakes, chain, battery and stator though. ALL STOCk, no cut fender, etc. Original paint. No smoke or rattles in motor. Owned by older gent. $2100 Canadian. Runs like a Swiss clock. Darn fine typical Honda! Any other high mileage examples out there? Highest so far????

My street F2 has 50k ham-fisted miles on it and it runs great.

Yeah, can't beat us old fugglies, taken care of the stuff to be handed on to the youngins. He's probably still crying into his beer from parting with it.

i just purchased an f3 with 122,000k's it runs like clockwork, plenty power, bullet proof motor. the guy i bought it off said everything around it will fall apart before the motor dies, also said that this bike was used to commute to and fro work dailynot sit in the garage for 10 years and stuff up the motor.

WOW!!!!!!! That is incredible! 122,000 km!I feel much better now knowing I don`t have to worry about my motor! At 57 years of age, I don`t do nose stoppies or wheelies anyway! My road racing days ended in the late 70`s, but I just go fast on staights. Love my F3!

hey Ronald :-) ... F3s are great aren't they ... I think they often overlooked and underestimated these days, they were the last of the steelies and were so well sorted ... I love mine to bits even though I still want an RR.

One of our magazines over here .. think it was "Performance Bikes" or "RIDE" ...stripped down a 30,000 miles abused CBR which had been raced, wheelied ... neglected oil changes ... in fact if I remember correctly it had not had any of the necessary servicing and the oil was black. When stripped they found no wear and everything within the tolerance of the workshop manual ... there was just some dog wear to the gearbox but that's abuse and wheelies for you. I do believe these bikes looked after and regularly oil changed are pretty bomb proof ... *touch wood* ..lol
