well, when i bought the bike, the starter switch was broken, so i put in a button that overid starter relay switch. so, even when the kill button was switched to off, the engine would still turn over when the button was pushed, it just wouldn't start.

The kill switch will kill the spark, but also prevent the starter from working. It sounds like you need a wiring diagram to fix the bike.

edit: not sure where the coils hook up to, I was just guessing. And the ECU is on the right side of the subframe behind the battery box
