Default Help: Electrical gauge problem

what up my friend has a 98 f3 and all of the sudden all his gauges went out and nothing works or lights up. when this all happened his bike completely died as well. it started back up right after with no gauges operational including the brake and turning lights. he also says he feels a loss of power after 3rd gear when at WOT. we're gonna try and check the fuses first but anyone have an suggestions or similar problems in the past?

Get on the bike. Look just above your right hand for a big panel that says FUSE.

It's under there.
