Help cbr won’t start!
Bought a bike that had been sitting since 07’ told I just had to clean the carbs change fluids etc. turned into a whole first bike project. I’ve changed the sparks, coils, fuel pump, r/r, generator, cleaned and replaced jets replaced one float that somehow broke during the build. I’ve had the bike start on multiple occasions, I’ve ridden it once sat overnight and haven’t been able to keep it running to ride at all. This is my first bike so I’m not experienced by any means and no shops will work on a 95 out here. Anything helps, thanks!
Welcome to the forum dre01,
Can you provide more details for the members here to give you some help.
Exactly what is happening, when you switch on, try to start etc.
As it has started before we can assume compression is ok, you then have three elements spark, fuel and air. It sounds like it might be air / fuel related.
Have you checked all the hoses for air leaks, have you checked the fuel pressure regulator.
It might also suggest that the carbs may not be properly cleaned, then can be exceptionally difficult to get right and would top it running.
