HELP!!! cbr F3 wont run good after 30mph
hey everybody i need some help. ive just about replaced or cleaned everything with my fuel and spark and i still cant get my bike to run good. it sat for a longtime and it almost seems like its getting better but idk for instance last night i got up to 45mph i let off the gas because i dont want to do any other damage to it. im just looking for some insight from fellow cbr f3 owners that might have been in this situation before.. i dont want to get rid of my f3 but if i cant figure this problem out its gunna be sold and its a shame because i love this bike its actually a 637cc

If the bike has sat for a long period of time, then there is a 95% chance the issue is related to the carburetors. It can be very difficult to get the small passageways clean. It's important that you're able to verify that these passageways are clear. With the carburetor taken apart, spraying carburetor cleaner through the different ports and visually seeing it come out the other ports is a good way of doing this.

I had the exact same problem after a fresh carb cleaning. Turned out to be the fuel pump wasn't working properly at higher speeds and couldn't supply sufficient gas. I removed the pump and connected a direct feed into the carbs. Works great now. I am repairing my fuel pump, the contacts were burned away.

Well yesterday I decided to mess with my bike and I removed my fuel pump and filled up my gas tank to do the gravity feed and it actually ran a lil worse so I looked at my contacts on my fuel pump and they look ok, put it back on and then noticed two hoses coming from my air solenoid valve. I connected the hose to one of the air filter boxes that was not connected to anything and went down the street thinking I fixed my bike.... haha.. it cut off and it would only start if I had full choke as soon as I turned the choke off it would die.. my battery died so I gave up. I later went back (calmed down) and looked at all of my hoses going to the valve and compared them to the diagram on top of my airbox. All the hoses were connected wrong and there wasn't even a hose connected to the carbs! My son decided to unscrew my idle adjustment and now I need to find out how far do I screw that in? The bike never likes to start cold sometimes I sit for 45 seconds to a minute to get it to fire but once its warm it always starts right up.. hopefully I can charge my battery and screw my idle adjustment in and go for a long awaited ride over 30 mph
