Bike dying in middle of ride

Bike dying in middle of ride
I recently sold my f3 to my buddy. 1st day he said he was ont he highway and it just started to sputter and just die. The gas was real low so we thought mabye he just ran out of gas (he has 3x before wi his bikes lol). Well it did it again last night on half a tank. It's had electrical issues but the battery was at full charge which rules out that. He thinks its the fuel pump going out. I can't think of anything else either if battery's full charge, gas tank full, spark plugs good, coil pack good. What else could cause it to just sputter put and die while ridding? If it helps I haven't changed air filter and no clue if its sper bad or not, not sure if that would do it, not getting the fuel air mix it needs? Any help would be awesome.
Thanks!
Thanks!

next time it does it open the tank up, if it doesnt pop open and seems stuck shut, then the breather hose coming off the bottom of the tank is pinched or clogged. simple fix is either re route the hose if its pinched, or pump compressed air through it if its clogged. i had this problem last summer.
if its not that then check the contacts on the fuel pump, if theyre bad then its a pretty easy and cheap fix.

Scope out the regulator/rectifier (r/r), as well.
If it's the OEM original, they have a history of frying.
It's located under the right side panel, with 3 yellow, a red and a green wire connection
leading to it.
If the epoxy fill on the r/r and/or the connector is melted/bubbly,
that could be the cause of your issue.
Here's what the original looks like...
The big finned thing is my replacement r/r...

If battery is full it is not reg rec nor stator. It may be fuel delivery this can be checked via two methods 1. Use a fuel line bypassing the fuel pump will run smooth until tank is real low or at high speed 2. Hard wire the pump straight to the battery with no fuel supply it will hum and with fuel will stop humming once at pressure.
If the fuel pump works check breather hoses after that start checking kill switches are not faulty i had a bike die randomly because i broke the side stand kill switch yours may have become faulty
