Default Heated regulator

So I got the new voltage regulator/rectifier in the mail today, put it on my bike, and it rides like a dream (no throttle problems either, the iddle screw was the problem I think or the spark plugs were flooded [which would make sense because it had to sit for a week while I waited on the r/r]). Only thing is I have been riding with the bike naked (not me, just all fairings except front off) which obviously provides GREAT cooling for the regulator, but when I put the fairings back on, they will completely block it. Just wondering, is there a better place to put the r/r other than right under the seat? if not, should I try to figure out some sort of ventilation for it?

Did you replace it with a genuine Honda part?, if so, the buggers just going to fry again. Relocating it? anything is possible.

I got a nice one off of ebay with cooling fins. Tour master i think is what the sticker on it says. No problems with it overheating yet. I would just leave it there til it overheats, then buy a new one. Relocating to some place that gets more air, will also mean it will get more water.

I was thinking when i get my GSXR unit. To run a small hose up front under the fairings to the R/R. To get fresh cool air on the R/R.

Catch my drift?? Like a directed ram air setup!
