Default Header pipes

Hi, I've been searching for an answer....
I bought a '98 600 a few weeks back, all seemed well until I peeled back the fairing, I noticed that the header pipes are effectively junk.

I've seen some aftermarket replacements for about £170 from eBay, they do not have the balance pipes as OEM though. I have read this can cause flat spots.

Is this definitely the case? Will I need to re-jet if I bought them?

Thanks.

It's these ones:

Honda CBR600 FM-FW 91-98 Stainless Header Downpipe | eBay UK

They look pretty cool, but I don't want to have pull my carbs apart if I buy them!

They say they're a stock replacement so if they flow the same, no rejetting required.

Thanks SJ, I had heard from some other people that this is often not true, one manufacturer claimed that balance pipes are there for noise but some people say it affects flow of gases, leafing to flat spots.

What header pipes do others have?

BTW leafing is not a technical term.. Should say leading.
