I understand everyone's position but honestly I feel more comfortable riding my bike without my fuel pump. I have gone though 2 pumps and each one quite on my on the highway, killing the bike each time, not counting the numerous times it failed and I had to push the bike home.
To me the fuel pump is just a big PITA. When I get enough money to buy a new one maybe it will work better, until then I am very happy not running one

I agree. It's one less thing that I have to worry about going out on me. When I had the fuel pump on, I was constantly worried about going too far from home. It is a lot reassuring knowing that my bike is going to get me from Point A to Point B now.
Someone needs to find an aftermarket fuel pump with the same specifications as the stock pump. Maybe it will be more reliable than the OEM pump. But until then, I am perfectly fine running without a fuel pump. And I'll even go as far as saying that my gravity feed F3 will perform just as well as any of the guys on here running with fuel pumps.
