Default Guage Lights

So it appears one of my speedo guage lights is out. I can't read the left side of the guage (about35-60mph)when its dark out.

Is it easy to replace the bulb? Where do I buy a replacement bulb from? Was hoping to get these answers because I just went through getting all the fairings mounted up and don't want to take them off again beforeI get this info. Thanks!

Dude I have the same problem. I think my globe blew about 1 year ago. I tried to remove it but it's the only one I can't reach from the back of the instruments. It seems to me that you have to remove the complete top fairing and light which means you'll also have to remove all the other fairings. I didn't want to strip the whole bike so I just learned to live with it.

I tried and I saw that it is possible to remove some of the lower globes like the neutral light etc by removing that black panel below the light and wedging you arm up from behind but that top globe is behind the fairing bracket so I couldn't reach it

If anyone knows of a easy way to remove it I would also be very interested to know...

I believe you can only get the bulbs from a honda dealership unless there's some website that has em. But you're S O L on the replacing part of the question. Those fairings are gonna have to come off to reach that top one cause I had to do it.

Grrr! Well since I just put the fairings on, it shouldn't be a problem remembering the order of taking them off and putting them back on. Really the only annoying part is mounting the two air induction hoses. I need to get a key made at the Honda dealership, so I guess I'll check into getting that bulb too while I'm there. Oh well, like everyone else I was hoping for an easier fix

Appreciate the help.

Here is what I have found about the bulbs, you can find them on other bikes where they are cheaper. I think I found them on the 02 Honda TRX 450 EX. There is a description of the bulb and you want the watts to match up in addition to making sure it's a wedge bulb. In regards to getting to them so that you can replace blown bulbs. Yes, the upper fairings need to be removed.

You don't need to take the fairing off to get the gauges out.

1. remove mirrors
2. remove the inner covers
3. remove windscreen
4. remove two 8mm bolt from the top of the gauge
5. remove the rubber grommet right in front of the key switch
6. remove one 10mm bolt
7. disconnect the wire harness
8. wiggle gauges out.

Install in reverse order
