Default GPS Stem Mount

Hey guys,
was wondering if anyone has a GPS STem mount on their F3?

I've got a '96 F3 which I will be wiring a 12V socket to, and would like to stem mount my TomTom GPS.

What are my options? I wanted to make something myself, but not sure where to start.

Any ideas?

What do you mean by stem mount?

One of my buddies fabbed up a bracket that mounts to the underside of your gas cap. It's hard to explain on words but if you're interested in mounting it to your tank I could probably draw a little something up to show you how you could make it.

Thanks guys.

I'd like to stay away from mounting anything on my gas cap. I used a camera mount for the gas cap before, and did not like it (gets in the way).

Here is what I'm looking for, for my F3:

RAM Mounts doesn't seem to have a stem mount for the F3.

idk how you would actually mount something like that to an F3. There isn't a screw or opening there...

This was the mount I had planned on using when I still was sport touring with my F3. Its not specifically designed for our bikes but I dont see why it wouldnt work

Its pretty cheap and the RAM company makes great products. You can purchase extenders and stuff through them too if you dont like where it places your gps

I have that mount for my GPS. It's ok, but not quite as stable as I'd like. It's really hard to get it to stay in place. You tighten up the allen screw in the middle which expands the rubber in the tube making it snug.

I did a quick mount one day that I've just kept there. I took a spare windshield mount and zip tied it to the handlebars in a criss cross style to the right of the key hole/screw cap. I've drvien up to highway speeds for probably 8 months at 3x a week (florida weather...love it). Never fails and it was free.
