Default Gauges not working on my 1998 600F3..

Hey fellas, I just bought a 98 CBR 600F3 with 9000 miles on it and the previous owner said the gauges didn’t for some reason. I ordered the Clymer and Chiltons manuals for the bike and until they arrive can you guys give me some starting points to check for known trouble spots related to the gauges not working? I am not new to fixing bikes but am new to the CBR. I have been riding cafe bikes since 1988 just never bought a CBR. I want to restore the bike back to what it looked like in 98. I still have my first bike a 1985 Nighthawk 650 and love to ride it. I am now retired from the Army and love to find projects to restore and this came up for sale and have always loved the CBR motorcycles. It helps that I live right by Sturgis South Dakota also..haha. Any way, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance fellas.

When you say the gauges don't work. Is this in regards to the lighting or the gauges themselves are not functioning. There really isn't much to these gauges as they are analog.

I only have the headlight working on the dash. No needles moving rpm/speedo, blinkers or anything else. I just bought the bike to restore and make it the way I like but was wondering if it would something simple like a ground or plug. Thanks for replying by the way. I appreciate it. I am a Honda motorcycle junkie..haha.

There are two plugs on the back of the of the instrument set. If nothing is working, I'd start there. The circuit board for the set is flexi board so it's pretty durable.
