My last two tankfuls I went past 160 miles and refilled before having to switch to reserve. But between the cold pavement and tires, and my old man tendencies, I've been taking it pretty easy on the throttle. Still, 110 miles sounds like there's something wrong.

You can't go by when you have to switch to the reserve. That is not accurate at all. Maybe one person top there tank completly off and you lefts yours an inch low??? You dont know. So when you fill up hit your trip meter. Then when you top it off after 120 miles or so see how many miles you went and how much gas you put in. Divide your amount of fuel into your miles and you have you MPG. Then tell me what you get. I get anywhere from 32-45 depending on how I ride. Most the time the high 30's.

I fill up to the brace that runs across the inside of tank. If I take it easy (80mph) on the highway I get to about 125 miles before switching to reserve. I have gotten as high as 140 though.

I rode really agressive last weekend and only got to 99 miles before switching. So, I guess it depends on your driving behavior.

i've gotten over 170 miles before switching to reserve. But, that was riding with my dad and afew other older guys on harleys, so, the fastest we got to was 50mph on the back roads. But, on average, i stop to fill up around 120-130 miles on the tank, just so i don't run it down to reserve. And, that is running moderate.
