?Fuel pump runs, then shuts off after building line pressure?
I was checking out my fuel pump to see if I should replace the contacts, and wondered...
It looks like this design will automatically shut off the fuel pump cycle when the fuel line build pressure. IS THAT TRUE?
Or is the fuel pump suppose to cycle fast at all engine running times????
Sorry if this has already been addressed in the past.

Yes, they do stop when pressure builds. Realize though that we're only talking about a couple of psi. Sometimes when the bike is idling, the pump will only click once or twice every few seconds or so.
OK thanks.
I wonder if I should try an in-line pressure gauge to look for drops when I get on it.
At the top of my power band, I have a small flat spot that feels like a lean condition.
