Default Fuel Leak After Lifting Tank

My bike is a 1997 CBR600 F3 with 28k miles. Not in the greatest shape, but it was running strong when I bought it a couple of months ago.

I recently replaced the stator to solve a charging issue. While doing so, I tried to remove the tank but the fuel line was held on with the force of god behind it, so I propped up the tank and worked around it.

I start up the bike afterwards and there's an large gas leak coming from the carbs. The leak gets much worse with increased throttle.

I haven't owned a bike for a few years so I'm pretty rusty, but I looked around and it sounds like the float level might be my issue? What do you recommend to diagnose the problem? How can I check the float level?

Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to broke the fuel rail? It is tough but if wrenched the right way may break. Is a thought.

Stuck float is a common cause of flooding of the carburetors. Turn the fuel off at the petcock. If the bike starts, run it until it dies. The loosen the drain screw on the bottom of the float bowls for each carburetor to drain them. This will cause the float to drop to its lowest point and hopefully unsticking it. Open the petcock and try to start the bike again. Understand that it can take a bit to get the bowls filled again since the fuel pump on F3's only runs while either starting the bike, or the engine is actually running. I use the fuel pump test procedure to force the pump to run and fill the bowls. Makes starting the bike easier after doing maintenance on the carburetors.
