Front wheel spacers?
So I kind of took off my front wheel and repleced the bearings.
I failed to notice that the two outside spacers on the axel are differint lengths.
My queation know is do anyone know on which side I must put the long one (Please specify from what angle you are viewing the wheel)
Thanks

Ask somebody with an F2 - I'm pretty sure the longer spacer goes on the side the speedo cable was on.
You'll know if you get it wrong - the brake calipers have to line up. As long as you you don't tighten anything to force it into place, you should be able to tell (I think

I was checking my friends F2 and it's inconclusive. His is much shorter on both sides and the hub looks different.
Is there anyone here with a F3 that could maybe take a vernier or a ruler and just measure how much there spacers are sticking out of the hub on each side of the front wheal?

Well I don't think it takes a vernier, but I figured that a scale would do. It's pretty clear in the photo's that the wider spacer goes on the right side of the bike as you're sitting on it, or the left side if you're standing in front facing it.
If you think about it though, you had a 50 50 shot at getting it right...

You will find that the thinner spacer is pushed against by the "butt" of the axal as you push it through and act as another spacer. So you will be pushing the axal in on the left hand side of the bike, so the thinner spacer is on the left of the front wheel. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks guys.
The reason why I was asking is because the wheal was making funny noises after I replaced the baerings and I was afraid that I might have messed up this part.
It turns out that the new brake pads I recently fitted is making the noise.
I'll never in my life again put Ferrodo pads. They are like two rock grinding away on my disc but at the price pads are going for I can't just chuck them out and put another set.
I was going to replace with EBC pads (which I usually use) but they didn't have stock and the guy in the shop convinced me that these are just as good.
