Default fork seals

i need some input on fork seals im not sure what to get brand wise or stick with oem does any body have a part number and is my bike ok to tool around on with a leaky fork seal thanks for your help

I haven't had to do the seals on the CBR yet, but on my old GZ250, I just bought whatever brand they had at cycle gear, (Luckily the GZ used a sommon size seal that MX bikes also use). There are all different types out there, bu I'm not sure if any are better than others. Maybe someone else has good/bad experiences with a particular bran...

I highly recommend going with OEM seals. Yeah they cost more, but so does doing a fork job twice. This is mainly because I've never had an OEM set leak and I've had aftermarket sets leak on me.

i was also wondering if it would be ok to run the bike back and forth to work with out worry i know its poped so i wont be doing any wheeliez or stupid stuff ,i can get the new oem seals and dust seals for both forks 37 bucks + shipping

It should be fine riding to work and back as long as its not leaking really bad where there would be a safety issue with fork oil all over the front tire or leaking on to your brake pads and rotors.

i just rebuilt my forks, and didnt use oem. i just went down to my local shop (aresenal racing). he ordered the seals and dust wipes for 25 bucks. i dont know what the comparing prices are, but these worked great...
