first crash lol
today was the day driving, on a turn hit some sand and boom theres me meeting the curb trying to fight it. i cant believe it !
i'm ok bike has cosmetic damage for what i can see took everything off and now it wont start. it got me home which was a 7mi drive , it was bogging a little bit in and out . but now wont start at all i smeelll fuel but dont see it. also on the left side of carb where theres a little sensor it has a crack on it now dont know what it is, also before it stoped starting when it was running and i put the stand down a let it lean the rpm would drop and it would cut off if i diidnt put any gas.
so now i plan to start fresh can any one help me out give me some pointers of what i should look for to make secure to ride again. i hit strickly the front rim little dent but dont know if forks bent , i felt a very slight wobble when driving back but i was doing about 110mph but never felt it before everything was smooth before today.

i just laid down my f2, and had the exact same problem. it idles rough and dies if you dont give it enough gas right?
pull up all the carbs and make sure your intake manifolds are all clamped tight to the carbs, then press the carb set back down on the engine and reclamp everything up nice and tight. also check to see if the vacum tubes for the gas tank are on tight.
good luck with it, keep us updated!
everything i just said got my bike running smoothly again

I wouldn't be doing 110 after just laying my bike down and not knowing if I did any damage, especially if there is a dent in the rim. Good luck and be safe!
Hopefully you get the bike all fixed up.
Just a note, carburated bikes run like hell after being laid down for more than a few seconds, kinda floods everything. I fell over in some gravel once and once I got the bike up again it wouldn't start. Tried and just acted like it was flooded. I gave it about 5 minutes to sit and then it cranked right up. Just the nature of carbs. Now if your bike took a slam (indicated by bent rim) then yeah something probably got knocked to hell and back and isn't attached good or broken. Carbs are kinda sensitive to stuff so make sure something didn't get out of whack.
Good to hear that the damage to you/bike wasnt too bad. If I'd be to guess, that wobble is probably from that little bend. I had the same situation with the bend lip in my front rim. I had to replace my forks after my tumble, and rode that tweaked rim all last summer. Didn't really notice the wobble until high speeds (like you mentioned) and corners made me a little gunshy because of that bend.
As for going 110mph on a downed bike...it called "Quality stress assesment testing" and to me it sounds like the bike passed LOL

i appreciate the heads up i took the fairings off, i didnt think i was hurt but i ve been really sore the last couple of days so im going to get on it this weekend, but how can i check if my forks are damaged without any obivous dents or a clear bend?? thanks everyone hopefully it is just a carb issue.
