I found a F4i headlight missing the two tabs. Are these essential? The guy who is selling them used zip ties to hold in palce and said he had no problems. Being a Tech guru and not a gearhead I am unsure what the tabs are for and if zipties will work.

depends on how strong the plastic is.

id say unless you can fix the tabs, then avoid it

 

If you're a little handy with fiberglass you can probably fab something up for tabs... otherwise I'd probably hold off.
