Default Fairing repair

Quick question for the fab/paint guys. I redid my fairing with custom mounts so I fiber glassed over the original mounting holes (not all but most) and I have some pitting. I was wondering if I should just go with a glazing putty or stick with the fiberglass resin. I have tried filling the pits with the resin about 3 times and they still show up after sanding. I fixed a few but not all. Here is a picture. Doesn't really show the pitting though.

bondo or plastic epoxy....or if the pits aren't TOO bad, you may be able to swing with using high build primer...spray, sand, spray, sand...

Tried the primer, they are a bit too deep.

went to the store and picked some up, lets see how it turns out. Hopefully it works better than the resin. At least there are no gouges or any blemish like that, that needs to be repaired.
